•Music and movement for infants, toddlers and preschoolers ages birth through five and their parents or caregivers. Songs, chants, instrument play, dancing, and more offer young children the opportunity to develop tonal and rhythm skills.

•Learning through play in an informal setting. Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities at their own level, and acquire skills at their own pace.

•Children of different ages learn together. Class activities focus on adult-child interaction. Parents and caregivers participate in music making and role model for their child. Siblings can attend together, and children with special needs can join in, too. Infants blend with any age group, and research shows their music development benefits from early exposure.

•Quality learning materials for home use. Class experience is reinforced at home with Music Together's digitally-recorded CD's and tapes and beautifully-illustrated songbooks. The parent education guide helps adults understand early childhood music development and the pivotal role they play in their children's musical learning.

•A rich variety of music designed to introduce children to a wide range of rhythms, tonalities, and types of music. A different curriculum -- CD, tape and songbook, too -- is used for each session.

•A JOYOUS and DELIGHTFUL activity for the whole family.

When you come into the classroom, you'll hear music playing—it's always something interesting, to get us ready for class.

•We start by singing “Hello” to everyone.

•Rhythmic rhymes allow children - and adults - to concentrate on the rhythmic aspect of music. We often use a rhyme about the season or a daily activity to begin class.

•Some songs feature fingerplay, enjoyed by both infants and older children.

•We use a variety of rhythm instruments like sticks, maracas or bells while we sing.

•There are opportunities for everyone to dance and move.

•Every class includes a jam session where everyone plays together on the instrument of their choice, including  maracas, triangles, drums and tambourines.

•A lullaby gives caregivers and children a quiet bonding moment to sing and rock together.

•Singing "Goodbye" to everyone in class is another weekly ritual.

about Music Together® Classes offered by City Kids Music LLC

"Marina seems to know every song on every Music Together CD that we own and often entertains all the commuters on the M98 on her way to school. Florencia lights up when we play the CDs and sing to her." - Randye Rutford

"My partner and I would like to thank you and all of the teachers for introducing music to Vivi. She loves all of the CDs and sings along. It has been wonderful to see Vivi learn so much and love every minute of it. We are in heavy rotation for "Rig-a-Jig-Jig" and "She Sells Sea Shells". They are excellent sing alongs in the car!" - Carl and Fred

"My kids still listen to the CDs we got from you last year when we lived in Washington Heights. Since we relocated to Alabama, the first Music Together center has opened. This was great news, since there is no other kiddie class like "Music Together!" - Rachel Holtzer, mother of Dina and Rivika

"The boys have started school now and are adjusting well. I just wanted you to know that the headmistress keeps emailing me to tell me that all the teachers keep remarking on how much they both love dancing and music. They are all astounded. We owe it all to you! Thanks for all your teaching…"
- Beth Ferront, mom to Tyler and Carson

"Looking forward to another semester of fun!" - Ilia Edwards-Novelo, mother of Anshel   and Rohan

"We are currently enrolled in the Saturday session at Mother Cabrini and we love it!"  - Jennifer Hoppa, Luke’s mom

"Gracie Cate is loving the music - she is a dancer !!" - Lisa Mandlekorn

"My daughter Rose is only 9.5 months old, so I don't think she is actually reading, but she really does follow my finger when we read the music just as she does if we read a story book.  She recognizes songs and we sing a lot to her - both my babysitter and I." - Diane E. McLean, MD PhD

"I am not exaggerating when I say that Pam’s Music Together classes have been such a tremendous source of joy for my 2-year old son Nicky, and for me. He really does sing the songs from class throughout his day; today was “Li'l Liza Jane”, from morning to night! What is fascinating to me is how quickly he learns the songs and carries the tune, even though in class he's pretty quiet. He sings the songs from class throughout each day. It's a beautiful sound for a parent to hear." - Laura Koepke, mother of Nicky

"When I attended the demonstration class, I thought that the goal of teaching the children to "keep time and sing on pitch" was admirable, but surely unrealistic. However, Jeremy is already keeping time to ordinary pop music, and is even beginning to search for the rhythms of meandering piano sonatas. I now have no doubt that his discovery of pitch will be in the near future as we continue through the full cycle of the Music Together program. The socialization that Jeremy has found in class is just as pronounced as his musical growth. The children have opportunities to interact even as they are directed to follow a very specific structure”. - Bryan Clark, father of Jeremy

"Our son started the program at 2 months and now at 4 years, he enjoys singing and learning new songs all the time as well as making up his own songs, for his sister’s lullabies or extended road trips!! Our daughter started going to the program as an infant because her big brother was already going -- she loves all the movements involved with the songs, often dancing her own neo-eclectic-non-modern-classic interpretation of the music. She really loves going to Music Together, and the relaxed and nurturing atmosphere makes her feel comfortable to be herself and also is conducive to her actually learning about music!! She currently enjoys singing the “Hello” song and inserting her own people, places, things – “Hello to the leaves…”, “Hello to the rain…”, etc. etc. As a result of Music Together, our kids love music in their lives, love songs and making up songs, and know about rhythm, tone, and having fun with music. Thank You Pam”. - Deirdre Cipolla, mother of Turin and Lila

"My husband Chris and I both feel that Music Together has been a great influence on Luke and has kept him focused in many ways. The Music is very calming and the gestures he has learned have helped Luke with so many different things. And now, Luke understands about going to class and looks forward to it each week, which is something I find quite amazing, that a 19- month old boy is actually able to look forward to something.” - Beverly Ferrier, mother of Luke

“Ryan knows the words to so many of the songs now (loves the Hello Song) and he goes to sleep to Music Together songs every night" - Victoria Fabacher, mother of Ryan

“The Music Together experience has left a wonderful impression on Benjamin. I think his years of Music Together have helped him understand the structure of music as well as the sheer fun and entertainment involved in playing instruments and singing along.” - Susan Rosenberg, mother of Benjamin

“MT has been an invaluable experience, both for Hayden, his parents and friends. The diversity of the songs and his recollection of them continue to surprise us. It has been amazing to see his progress since he was months old, as now he has grown to know the words to the songs. We believe that he has gained incredible exposure to music and it is wonderful that we can share that with him”. - Donna Leary, mother of Hayden

“Music Together is excellent. If you are looking for a high quality music program, this is it! Pam does a wonderful job of engaging the kids. We’ve been sending our 2 year old daughter since she was ten months. It’s amazing how Lauren is now able to sing on pitch, and she has memorized literally dozens of songs from the curriculum. She can’t wait to go to music class, and she loves every minute she spends there. Pam provides an outstanding music program which has instilled a great love of music and dancing in our daughter”. - Esther Han, mother of Lauren

"Dylan's mommy (Susan) was the teacher and she was good!" - Sophie S., age 3-long time MT participant and daugther of Nancy G.

"Pam, I miss your music class!" - Maya, age 4, daughter of Maria Herrera

"Ethan has just been accepted to The Special Music School for Kindergarten, and we thank Pam and Music Together for their significant role in making music a rich and meaningful experience for him." - Alex Brown, mother of Ethan and Jessie

"My mom was in town and took Tobias to class last week - she has been a kindergarten/1st grade teacher for over 25 years in both public and private schools, and has used a lot of music and theatre in her classroom and she was so impressed with Donetta's class - she could not get over what a gifted and engaging teacher she is, and she loved the curriculum." - Elissa Lash, mother of Tobias

"We have noticed that Bella is dancing alot lately....and she is always singing! Lately she has been making up funny lyrics to songs. I think your class is outstanding and Bella loves it!" - Tracey Kennedy, mother of Annabella

"As we register Baron for the next semester, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. You provide a wonderful service that moves Baron's development in leaps and bounds. As new parents, Sharida and I are grateful." - Benjamin and Sharida Jones
