Below is our schedule of upcoming classes:

Mixed ages 0 - 5

Your baby’s musicality is just waiting to blossom, and now is the time to give it the loving care it needs. Our Mixed-age Class makes it easy—and fun! The hallmark of the Music Together program, this class gives children from birth to age 5 the environment they need to grow and develop while interacting both socially and musically with other children of varying ages. And because babies spend most of their time listening and observing, it’s the perfect way to introduce them to the joys of making music. Early childhood educators consistently recommend mixed-age groupings as an optimal learning environment for children under five years. In this setting, older children learn from being in a leadership role (a role they may not take when they're in a group of their peers), and younger children benefit from the example of an older child. Classes have a family feel, rather than a school orientation, an environment your child will have ample opportunity to experience when he enters the world of formal education in a few years. In addition, children of the same age are not necessarily in the same stage of music development and a mixed-age environment creates a space for exploration and discovery, rather than peer pressure. The Music Together curriculum is designed to teach on many levels of complexity at once, and Music Together teachers are trained in the art of mixed-age learning.

Infants Only Class

A born sounder and mover, your baby is already equipped with the means and potential to make music. You've probably noticed how they respond when you play a song in the car or sing them a song to soothe them. Developing your baby's natural musicality will open the door to a world of possibility, not only for music learning but for all learning. The early months are so important to this process, which is why we designed this special class to help you every step of the way.

Music Together offers a Babies Class for families with infants from birth through eight months of age. In this class, the activities are specifically designed to teach you how to support music development in infancy and how to connect with your baby through music using methods such as "purposeful touch," "sound-layering," "dancing for baby," etc. It is also an excellent opportunity for new parents to meet other new parents.

ART Masters

This class is designed for ages 5 - 8 years of age. Each week we study a different famous artist. Children will receive a brief history of the style and life of the artist. Now that the children have a true connection to the artist, it is time to introduce the techniques which made the art revolutionary. After learning the inspiration and techniques of each Master, the children are ready for the real fun. Young artist will create their own Masterpieces in the style of the artist that we are studying that week!

3, 4 and 5

Class is for ages three, four and five. Although most three and four year olds thrive in a mixed age environment, we do have another option for your family. (Discuss your child’s readiness for this class with the school directors.) In this family-style class, which still looks very much like a mixed-age class, you and your child may experience additional musical activities such as rhythm improvisation, independent singing, dance improvisation, and dramatic play. Teachers work with individual skill levels and interest. Younger siblings are welcome to attend the 3s/4s class with their older brothers and sisters.
